Quality and good prices increase sales 

Electric or luxury car? Not really! In the US, selling more is synonymous with quality and good prices.
 

Did you know that Toyota and Honda have seen an increase in sales here in the United States since the beginning of the year? That's because the demand for cheaper models has helped automakers change expectations of a slowdown. So much so that General Motors realized this market projection and increased retail deliveries.

Toyota reported that deliveries increased by more than 20% in the first half of the year. The Corolla sedan and RAV4 crossover were the cars that drove this increase. Honda's CR-V SUV and Civic compact led the Japanese carmaker to a 17% increase in sales.
 

GM pointed out that there was a 1.5% drop in units sold in the first six months of the year due to lower purchases in the corporate fleet segment. But, in compensation, it increased retail sales by 6%, driven by the compact Chevrolet Trax.
 

These results prove the importance of affordability for consumers. Inventories are increasing and automakers are handing out more incentives, which is driving down vehicle values.
